Happy holidays, and a warm welcome to our new readers! We are pleased to announce new options for groups and classes, improvements to our Test Prep program, payment by credit card option, and the opening of our Berkeley home office for in-person sessions.

Introducing: Groups and Classes
Since founding Spokes on a Wheel, it has been a goal of ours to offer group classes. We understand that learning can be more beneficial and fun when done in a group. We now work together with families to form groups and classes drawn from their contacts and ours.
Groups look much like one-on-one tutoring, but with multiple students present during the sessions. Classes provide students with a pre-planned curriculum and up-front number of sessions. Most of our classes run for 6 or 10 weeks, once a week, in-person or virtually.
This fall, we hosted a trial for our class option with a Beginner Hebrew Class. This class was a promising start. Students learned reading, writing, and basic vocabulary, and had a great time! We plan to continue offering this class, and others, in 2024.
Test Prep Program
Since last summer, we have been actively developing a unified program for our test prep students. By determining key improvement areas, considering external factors, and discussing overarching goals, we deliver specialized and exhaustive instruction to each student. Our program has grown to include full-length timed practice tests, targeted homework, and planning the details of test day.
Two central aspects of our programs are: 1) Preliminary conversations about hopes, worries, and expectations, and 2) A free debriefing session and continued support after testing. We have found that these conversations streamline and personalize the test prep experience.
Credit Card Payment Option
Our clients now have the options to make payments via credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. A new page on our website includes a handy session price calculator and links to our Stripe processing portal.
Opened Home Office
This fall, we organized our office space and are now accepting in-person clients again! With two comfortable armchairs and a great location right near a strip of stores, including Monterey Market, our office is ideal for Berkeley kids coming from school and for parents who want to do a bit of shopping while their students are at their sessions.
